When I visit a flea market I am not interested in purchasing the many popular items from today's culture. No, I usually am searching for a treasure, or something unique.
Last year, I visited a flea market and there were a couple of stands that were selling counterfeit handbags. Designers like Prada and Dooney & Burke were being sold at a "bargain" price. It really didn't take a genius to see that they were not authentic, but that wasn't the problem. Flea Markets offer a unique shopping experience. If I want a designer purse, I will go the the mall.
