Traffic Congestion due to Sunday Flea Market

01/05/09 12:17

Of course flea markets have their bad effects. Traffic congestion in major highways is one of them. This is just natural, considering that an awful lot of people are looking for bargains in flea markets nowadays. However, some people are already reporting the annoying congestion of traffic every Sunday when the flea markets open.

Such is the case of Red Barn in California.

Artists' Flea Market

01/04/09 20:13

Some flea markets are just a notch higher than your typical flea markets. This happens when the sellers of goods are people who didn't think of selling their wares in the first place. Usually, these people are packrats with a creative sense of what to keep and what to not keep--just like artists.

Last month, the first ever Original Art Flea Market was held in Missouri, and it was a win-win situation for both the sellers (the artists) and the buyers looking for good buys with their money.

Ceres Flea Market Bids Farewell

01/03/09 16:42
With the tight economic conditions, more and more establishments are closing down like the decade old Ceres Flea Market located at the ground of Ceres Drive-In.

Ceres began its declines starting 2004 when security issues with gangs and crimes which spread fear and stopped customers from coming from 10,000 down to 2,000 and from 500 vendor to 200 per Sunday.

Many shoppers and vendor were diverted to El Rematito flea market on Crows Landing Road which are open on Fridays and on weekends.

Flea markets help needy women

01/02/09 01:02
Flea markets are beneficial during times of need. For consumers, they present alternative sources of goods that are priced cheaper than their conventional retail store counterparts.

Aside from the consumers, however, these flea markets also present viable sources of income for needy women who have no other sources. While the income is not that much, it is already enough to bring food to the tables of the sellers.
